The largest opening weekend of more than 2018

The greatest opener for Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani
Ranbir Kapoor tryst with wicket numbers is not something to be boast. His films may have been interesting and experimental, but rarely did they make big numbers at the box office. But everything changed with Sanju. The biopic, in which Ranbir became Sanjay Dutt, has not only become the largest opener of 2018, but also the largest opener of Ranbir's career for a decade. His Besharam film in 2013 brought in Rs 21.56 crore the day it opened, and was his best digital counter ever.
Similarly, Hirani's 2014 PK film with Rs 26.63 on his first day set the record for his biggest game. But Sanju beat PK with 34.75 rupees on the day of opening.
