Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are getting ready for their big Christmas outing this year with Brahmastra and the team has already started its promotions. Director Ayan Mukerji, a newcomer to Instagram, regularly shares film moments (including promotion). Many of them include hidden moments from the making of the film.

On Wednesday, he shared a photo of three of them – Alia, Ranbir and himself – sitting on a couch and wrote: "And then, there were 3 … of our studio vfx in London, long ago 2016. These are the first days of this film. alia was the new strength in our creative life … the brief was simple … ranbir and alia needed to work in one block and this relationship was more important than their individual characters because at the heart of it, our film is … love story … There has been a lot of love since. After all, Love is the guiding light of Brahmastra.

It could be a revelation to many that Brahmastra has been forming since 2016. That's exactly what Ayan tells us. The shooting comes from a London studio, where the film's VFX was in progress. He also said that the mandate given to his main actors was simple: they had to make it work on the screen because Brahmastra is at the heart of a love story. He also mentions how Alia was new to Ranbir and his creative synergies and that there had been a lot of love since 2016. Does this allude to the Alia-Ranbir relationship? We'll never know.

Meanwhile, Brahmastra's team was at Kumbh Mela Maha Shivratri to launch the logo of the film. The event saw the use of 150 drones suitable for creating the logo in the night sky. On this occasion, Alia and Ayan published a video in which Amitabh Bachchan explains to Ranbir and Alia the meaning of this "god of all arms" called Brahmastra

. . Sharing a picture of Ranbir, he explained that Ranbir was his first sounding board (during the shooting of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) and how his character was first visualized under the name of Rumi, before becoming Shiva.

Brahmastra hosts a galaxy of stars playing supporting roles, including Amitabh, Mouni Roy, Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, among others. The film was shot in Israel, Bulgaria and Mumbai.
