Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy are released Thursday and a day before, filmmakers staged a special screening in Mumbai. Two people stood out: Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. The two stars came to support their respective partners.

Deepika was very happy to witness an incredible new performance by her husband Ranveer. The first looked lovely in a black overall, while Ranveer followed his jazzy sense of fashion in a green and brown combo and badociated him with a black cap. Ranveer was also seen kissing the cheek of his wife Deepika.

Meanwhile, Ranbir also came to support Alia, his girlfriend. Both were seen leaving the scene after the screening. While Alia was all sunny in a yellow floral dress, Ranbir kept her casual with a white T-shirt, ripped jeans and a blue zipped jacket.

Zoya Akhtar's director, Gully Boy, has received much praise since his first screening. The world premiere of the film at the Berlinale seduced both with the Variety review, which praised Ranveer's outstanding performance.
On Twitter too, the film and its many performances have been praised. Some say it's Ranveer's best job.
Gully Boy is inspired by the lives of Mumbai rappers, Divine and Neazy, who grew up in the slums of Mumbai, but have become prominent rappers in the city, winning applause and celebrity. The film's dialogue and numerous rap numbers have been well received by audiences, making it one of the most anticipated films of 2019.
