The actor Ranveer Singh is on his knees to receive his wife, actor Deepika Padukone, at Best Actor, at the 64th Filmfare Awards on Saturday. In a viral video, Ranveer and Deepika are on stage with Ayushmann Khurrana when he gets on his knees as Deepika hands him the trophy.
"This Black Lady (Reward) is very special to me, but this lady (Deepika) is the most special woman who ever came to me, I love you, are you proud of me?" Ranveer said while kissing Deepika on stage. He shared the award for best actor (critics) with Ayushmann, who won for Andhadhun.
Ranveer won the award for his role in Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali Padmaavat. In dedicating the prize to his grandmother, Ranveer said: "I dedicate this prize to my nani, because it was my nani as a favorite character. One day, I called my sister to ask her what Nani was doing. She said that Nani was on the terrace and that she was watching Padmavaat in a favorite way.
To celebrate her husband's victory, Deepika also shared a special photo of Ranveer, Ranbir Kapoor. and Vicky Kaushal partying together after the event. "All my favorites in a frame," she wrote with the photo.
Deepika lost to Alia Bhatt and Neena Gupta in the category Best Actor (Woman). Alia won the award in the popular category for Raazi, while Neena won the award in the category critics for Badhaai Ho.

Alia's Raazi has won five awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. While Meghna Gulzar won the Best Director Award, her father, Gulzar, won Best Songwriter Award for the song Ae Watan. Arijit Singh won the best singer award for singing the same song
Vicky Kaushal won Best Supporting Actor for Sanju. He also debuted as a performer on the Filmfare scene and paid tribute to actor Amitabh Bachchan. His performance was choreographed by Shiamak Davar.
Badhaai Ho has also won several awards. Gajraj Rao and Surekha Sikri won the Best Supporting Actor Award in the men's and women's categories. Akshat Ghildial won the Best Dialogue Award for the film. Film directors Ayushmann Khurana and Sriram Raghavan, Andhadhun won the Best Film Critics Award.
Sonam Kapoor, Jahnvi Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Sunny Leone, Kjol, Arjun Kapoor, Rajkummarao and Sanjay attended the Leela Bhansali evening, Karan Johar among many others.
