REEL Movie Awards 2019: Casting and Friends Meet While Story Repeats

News18 paved the way for honoring and rewarding medium-budget, medium-budget films and content-driven Hindi cinema, driven by the desire for creative and innovative stories and not containing glamorous stars at the expense of the story. The REEL Movie Awards night was marked by numerous starry dance shows and many glitzy shebangs, traditionally badociated with such an outing. Yet the lively and fun ceremony, hosted by Cyrus Broacha and Shibani Dandekar, has produced endearing moments, which will surely be remembered from time to time.

Here are some of the highlights of the night from the red carpet to the awards:

Alia Bhatt, who won the Best Female Actor Award for Raazi walked the red carpet in a delightful saree of Sabyasachi. On the red carpet, she met her co-star Gully Boy Vijay Verma. Delighted to meet, they kissed and sat down together for the paparazzi event.
In another case, actresses Rasika Dugal and Rajshri Deshpande met costume designer Sheetal Sharma. The team Manto was reunited and, with a little luck, Sheetal then won the best costume trophy for his work in the drama of the time of Nanadita Das. The trio of Manto ladies – Divya Dutta, Rajshri and Rasika also posed for the camera.

Divya Dutta Receives the Best Translation Award from Gulzar

Gulzar was honored with the honor of the best interpretation of the song for having writes the soulful Dilbaro for Meghna Gulzar Raazi . Divya Dutta accepted the trophy in her name and emphasized the legend of the poet, director and lyricist in her speech. Divya also shared a sincere message for Gulzar on her Twitter account, mentioning how much it was a special feeling for her.

Harshdeep Kaur and Vibhha Saraf made musical comedy with Dilbaro

Dilbaro (Raazi) was awarded with the Harshdeep Kaur and Vibhha Saraf award for best performance, at the award ceremony The night was tense, without any additional acts or performances, the singers put a melody in the night singing Dilbaro for the public. Before starting, the two singers expressed their gratitude to Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy (music composers) and Gulzar for writing the song.

The director Anil Shar urges the audience to vote

presents the trophy of best singer (male), director Anil Sharma (director of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and of the hero: Story of a spy's love ), in a noble gesture, asked young people, and everyone in general, to vote in the upcoming elections in Lok Sabha. Cyrus did not hesitate to say that Sharma was a politician on the scene, but Anil adopted it without any hesitation, thus underlining the importance of the upcoming electoral process.

Gajraj Rao overrides the young and popular Bollywood actors

This was a pivotal opportunity for 47-year-old Gajraj Rao to race in front of the young Bollywood guns to win the Best Actor (Man) Award for his work at Badhaai Ho . Earlier, jury member Dia Mirza explained how she had experienced a surreal experience when 62-year-old Ratna Pathak Shah won the Best Actor Award for Lipstick Under My Burkha at REAL Movie Awards 2018. Dia had also pointed out that the REEL Movie Awards do not differentiate between the popular and the deserving in each price category and the way it behaves well for the Indian film landscape.
