Tamil cinema rarely realizes films on amorous characters. Director Anita Udeep 90 ML talks about feminism, liberation and badual problems of modern women. But the director often confuses herself because she confuses feminism by glorifying drinking and smoking. The girls in the movie also make two-way jokes that are partly funny, especially crbad.
Rita (Oviya) takes full advantage of her life, she has a partner and moves to a new apartment. The film shows how Rita is changing the lives of five women with their own challenges. For Thamarai, (Bommu Lakshmi), her dishonest husband and her dangerous henchman job is a big problem. For the middle-aged Kajal (Masoom Shankar), her husband has an extra-marital affair after the couple can not spend a lot of time in bed because of her daughter (!!). Then there is Paaru (Shree Gopika) whose husband can not forget his past love and therefore, they find it hard to start a family. We also have Sukanya (Monisha Ram) who falls in love with another girl but the company and the parents are opposed to their marriage.
The film would have been an excellent drama of well-being if the director Anita Udeep had approached the problems of his wife. characters without glorifying drugs and alcohol. But now, despite the treatment of a relevant subject, it is difficult to communicate with these girls or to show sympathy for their condition when the director seems to make every effort to distract you with their antics in the name of feminism! After a while, we forget the personal problems of the five characters and start seeing them as a group of addicts who show that the victim card is in the entertainment area.
Interestingly, all five girls performed well. In fact, Bommu Lakshmi and Shree Gopika eclipsed Oviya in many scenes. The two other girls Monisha Ram and Masoon Shankar are quite adequate. What works for Oviya is that his character stays true to his on-screen image through the Bigg Boss show. While the first half of the film is viewable, the second half tests our patience with the scenario and endless stretches.
STR's music is a huge advantage because the songs and the background score are remarkable. In particular, the tracks "Marana Matta " and " Friendi da" . Aravind Krishna's camera has beautifully captured Chennai's nightlife in style, and songs have been featured on par with Western-style music videos. Another benefit of the movie is the very accurate run time of 124 minutes.
While the trailer featured 90 ML as an adult-only film, the director attempted to address many issues, including alcoholism. and the drug culture that exists in today 's society. Overall, the film is thin, but there are many moments that will surprise you but will be presented in a titillating way!
