After the huge success of Viswasam, Thala Ajith is about to start her next AK59, the official remake of Bollywood hit Pink. AK59 is led by H. Vinoth and funded by Boney Kapoor at its Bayview Projects LLP production company. The team revealed the troupe and the film crew today.
Vidya Balan will be twinned with Ajith, while Shraddha Srinath was invited to play the central role played by Tapsee in the original. Rangaraj Pandey will play a crucial role, while Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang (Pink member) will perform the other two main characters. Director Aadhik Ravichandran, Aswin Rao, Arjun Chidambaram and Sujith Shankar are the other cast members.
AK59 will present music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and a cinematography by Nirav Shah, while K.Kathir and Dhilip Subabrayan respectively manage the artistic directions and the cascades. Under the direction of Gokul Chandran and under the costume of Poornima Ramasamy, P. Jayaraj is the executive producer of this prestigious project. AK59 is aiming for a summer release, following which Ajith will begin AK60, a new production of Boney Kapoor, intended for an April 2020 release.
