Review and classification of the film Chitralahari: Sai Dharam Tej's film fails to impress

The actor Sai Dharam Tej, a member of the illustrious Mega family, crosses a difficult phase on the professional front. Last year, he suffered a big setback when Inttelligent underperformed at the box office and failed to impress the critics. Subsequently, he returned to the big screen with Tej I Love You, which turned out to be a big disappointment. With the setbacks of the past, the movie "Supreme Hero" is back with its latest film, Chitralahari, which is now on the screens (April 12, 2019).

The film, directed by Kishore Tirumala, is a crucial film for SDT because it has the potential to make or break his career.

History [19659017] Chitralahari revolves around how Vijay, an average Joe, faces many failures in his professional and personal life that leave him shattered. Most of the story revolves around how he manages to evolve in life.

Direction and Scenario

At first glance, the story of Chitralahari seems relatively relatable and promising. However, it never reaches its full potential due to poor writing. Except some light sequences, nothing really works in the first period. In addition, there are timing problems that further dilute the experience. The second half is not great either, although the track and sequences involving SDT and Posani Krishna in Mumbai went well. The predictable climax, however, is the big bad guy here and destroys all the experience.

Performances

Sai Dharam Tej did a very bad job in Chitralahari, realizing quite well the lighter sequences. He highlights the struggles his character is facing, which is a great success. Kalyani Priyadarshan offers a robust performance and proves that she has grown as an interpreter. Nivetha is also decent.

Posani and Vennela Kishore play their role very well and support SDT to the fullest.

Technical Departments

Devi Sri Prasad's past is very positive as it adds a new dimension to the action screen. The cinematography is correct, however, the editing is a little disappointing. The songs of the Rockstar are humble, with Prema Vennala as a choice. The other departments have been pretty well handled.
