Aravind (Allu Sirish) is a spoiled brat. He is the pampered son of a millionaire NRI, played by Nagababu. When his unruly and luxurious lifestyle becomes excessive, his father skillfully sends him to India so that he can live a meager life in a slum.
Once in India, Aravind and his best friend Basha (Bharath) discover the lifestyle of the lower middle clbad. They are struggling to make ends meet.
In order to celebrate his relationship and gain acceptance, he takes his girlfriend to meet his parents, his former wife and his children. But there is an element of discomfort due to the age of Ayesha.
In parallel, a separate track is told. The young politician Bhargav (Raja) wants to become a minister, but he faces opposition from the inhabitants of the slum where Aravind lives. They are victims of its chemical plant. The rest of the drama is the way these stories converge.
ABCD is a remake of ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi (2013), a Malayalam movie starring Dulquer Salman. Beginning director Sanjeev Reddy waved the megaphone.
The film definitely has a good plot, a story that deserves to be told. But it took better handling. Most of the time of execution serves to establish the degree of pain that Aravind (Allu Sirish) and his friend have to endure because of life in the slums. It becomes repetitive after a point. You need an actor with awesome comic timing to achieve such scenes. However, Sirish is not so convincing in this regard.
The rom-com scenes involving Sirish and Rukshar Dhillon ( Krishnarjuna Yuddham ) are unpublished. The hero is fascinated every time he sees a young and beautiful girl. The director should have made him change his mind when he meets and talks with the heroine. But it does not happen that way. Even the song Mella Mellaga (made by the current Sid Sriram) is done without any emotional touch.
The chemistry between Sirish and Bharat is more or less acceptable and the comic timing of the latter goes very well. With better dialogues, Bharath could have caused laughter. Vennela Kishore as a host of a TV show titled "Koffee With Kishore" & # 39; is hilarious. But he has only two scenes. If this role had been expanded, the story would have been different. He managed to stage his two scenes
In the way the political track is treated, it is easy to predict everything. Raja (son of Sirivennela) is convincing as an ambitious politician and money-conscious. But there are no scenes well done.
Judah Sandhy's music is average and the RR is not so good. Cinematography is considered insufficient.
ABCD has a very good plot but a dull narration. The song of Mella Mellaga and Vennela Kishore are the saving grace of this dull film.
