But Game Over also has its disadvantages … the length of the film could have been extended to explain the psychological and paranormal layers so that the public can better understand. The film had the opportunity to elevate the drama, the shivers and the climax could have been really grandiose but here Ashwin prefers to keep it subtle. If the director had played a little more with all these elements, as he had done with his first film Maya, Game Over would also have been an adventure.
The director has extracted the best of his technicians, Ron Ethan Yohan's haunted score and Vasanth's limpid cinematography are the film's two greatest badets. Overall, Game Over is a commendable attempt by Ashwin and he is undoubtedly one of the promising filmmakers of this generation! On the whole look at it, as it bravely advances on new ground.
