Review of the movie 22 Yards: This film by Barun Sobti is cleverly edited, except for the initial scene

The film begins on a picky note with stock footage and unstable shots giving you a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes scenarios capturing the euphoria as well as the hysteria surrounding cricket in the country.

The tensions are apparent from the first scene. in the bathroom where Ronajit Sen (Barun Sobti), head of sports management, subtly reprimands his opponent Ravi Khanna (Rajeev Sharma) and his lackey in the bathroom and later in the stadium when a journalist Renowned sportsman, Rica (Geetika Tyagi) hangs up Sonali's horn (Panchi Bora).

Conversations and badociations provide pretty little exhibitions until Ronajit Sen falls out of favor after being seen in the company of a bookmaker. Overnight, it is reduced to the pariah state.

Nevertheless, he is charming and rooted.

Panchi Bora in his first performance as Sonali is competent. She is natural and wisely supports Barun in her love interest. Their composition on the screen is palpable.

The other members of the cast include Geetika Tyagi in the role of Rica, Amartya Ray in the role of the resurrected cricketer, Ritijit resuscitated, Chaiti Ghosal in the role of Shomea's sister Krishna and Rajit Kapoor in the role of the psychologist.
