STORY
Junglee
The film begins by explaining how elephant teeth have become a Powerful market for hunters and how they targeted a century of elephants in Orrisa to kill elephants. Then we arrive directly at the introduction of the animal Dr. Raj Nayyar (Vidyut Jammwal) who runs a clinic in Mumbai. He left the forests of his hometown, Orrisa, after the death of his mother and blames his father for his death.
Raj's father directs Chandrika Elephant Century to Orrisa and he is going to have a Pooja on the 10th anniversary of his wife's death. Raj finally makes a comeback in his hometown, in the Orrisa Forest, then he understands that the danger has arrived to his family and to the most beloved elephants, even to his elephant friend, Bhola. Atul Kulkarni who plays the hunter wants to kill the elephant Bhola who has strong teeth to sell on the market. Now, the film's story revolves around Raj and how he helps hunters strive to get out of the jungle.
DIRECTION
Junglee
Hollywood director Chuck Russell who directed The Mask, The Scorpion King, Eraser and others for the first time entered Bollywood with the director of Junglee. But let me tell you that Chuck has failed miserably in Bollywood because he has not entered any genre to perfection. Indian films have been particularly appreciated for their emotional content, and despite the number of emotional scenes it contains, Chuck has not gone into the subject thoroughly.
Looks like Chuck has made rapid progress in emotional scenes like Hollywood. There were many scenes where we totally missed the drama that should have helped the audience to connect with the main characters. Even in the action scenes, Chuck did not give importance to the action sequences.
The scenes with elephants could have been better spent but, as I said, totally missed, the lack of connection with the movie was totally omitted. Maybe Chuck is not familiar with the Hindi language and this has become the reason why the dialogues in the film are sometimes irritating. All the film is predictable and disappointing.
PERFORMANCES
Junglee
Vidyut Jammwal has the quality of being an action hero and after watching the trailer, he chose the right movie. Well, after watching the movie, I can only appreciate the flexibility of Vidyut, which allows it to move anywhere without doing any action, but nothing more. He failed to entertain in many scenes, especially in emotional scenes that could have been better. You will not feel any pain for his character.
Atul Kulkarni played the role of a hunter and there is someone whose role will entertain you, that is his role. Atul has scenes where he will make you applaud and especially where he said Shloka of Mahabharata. A scene where he hunts the elephant Bhola.
MUSIC
Sameer Uddin composed three songs, Fakeera Ghar Aaja, Garje Gajraj Hamara and Dosti. While watching the movie, you'll love Fakeera Ghar Aaja and Dosti because of the soothing music and the beautiful image.
VERDICT
Watch this movie only if you've never been to the jungle and want to see what it looks like. . The beautiful places of Orrisa and elephant life are the only reason to watch the movie. Other than that, nothing, not even the story.
