Review of the movie Pokemon Detective Pikachu: A funny and wonderfully sweet journey

Pokemon Detective Pikachu Movie Rating: 3.5 stars [19659007] Let me say it in the beginning: Pokemon Detective Pikachu is not a perfect movie. But for someone like me, who grew up watching anime Pokemon on Cartoon Network, it's a boon. The movie may not do justice to human characters, but it absolutely blocks all Pokémon. I would just like them to be more numerous because everything else, including the underlying mystery of the story, is pretty weak.

The star of the film is an amnesiac and adorable Pikachu (voiced by the always brilliant Ryan Reynolds), who is also a self-proclaimed world-clbad detective. The actor of Deadpool is able to give a lot of personality to the character and completely surpbades Tim Goodman of Justice Smith, the other protagonist of the film.

This is not Smith's fault since his character is written as the young insolent young man and anguish. guy who at the end of the film turns into a nice person.

The story is incredibly bbad and predictable, but Reynolds makes it work. The film begins with Tim Goodman, who works in an insurance company. He receives the news that his father, Harry Goodman, has died in an accident. He goes to his father's house to look after him and meets a pikachu.

Only Tim can understand the language of this pikachu. For others, he looks like all other Pikachu. The Pikachu tells Tim that his master Harry Goodman may still be alive. The two team up (Goodman reluctantly) to find out what happened to Harry.

The story does not become more interesting as the movie progresses, but you'll enjoy every second of Pikachu in the movie.

The other Pokémon are also very well done. CGI and motion capture work are first rate. The way the Pokemon are designed and animated in the movie is the way, in my opinion, that should have been done in Disney's Christopher Robin. Detective Pikachu achieves a good balance between reality and cartoony.

The world of Ryme City, the fictional scenery of the film, seems authentic and inhabited. There are Squirtles used as fire extinguishers, for example, something that I do not think I saw in the anime.

I would only like there to be more Pokemon and their battles, because of the visual potential and undeniable caliber of the people. behind this film.
