Sister and designer Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who recently launched a line of festive jewelery under his R Jewelery label, apologized on social media after being accused of having plagiarized a pattern of earrings from Pearl King Kokichi Mikimoto's ears.

DietSabya, an anonymous Instagram account dedicated to calling the fake and widespread plagiarism in the industry posted a side-by-side comparison of the two earrings on its behalf with the following caption: "The legendary Kokichi Mikimoto is known in the pearl world as "King of Pearls." Shortly after the message went viral, Riddhima apologized to Instagram for not tagging original creator Kokichi Mikimoto on her message.
