The first mission aboard the International Space Station since the launch of a Russian rocket earlier this month could take off Dec. 3, announced Wednesday the space research agency Roscosmos.
A Russian cosmonaut and an American astronaut were forced to abort mission accomplished on October 11 and made an emergency landing after a launch accident which, according to Roscomos, was allegedly caused by a faulty sensor.

Sergei Krikalyov, senior official of Roscosmos, reportedly told the official TASS news agency that the next launch had been scheduled for mid-December, but that Russia was trying to advance the date so that the ISS would not be left unmanned for a short time.
The crew of three could return home on December 20, he reported.
"The industry is working hard to move the launch to December 3 so that the station does not switch to pilo mode you're automatic, and a landing is planned around December 20, "he said.
