Director Sujeeth Reddy tells us about his experience working with Baahubali star Prabhas in Saaho, also performed by Shraddha Kapoor.
S. Baahubali, director of S. Rajamouli, is undoubtedly one of the most amazing films in the history of Indian cinema. Baahubali: The Beginning is currently the 4th largest-grossing Indian film, while the second installment of the series Baahubali 2: The Conclusion becomes the 2nd most successful Indian film. The actor Prabhas, already known in the South industry, has become a nationwide superstar through his portrayal in the epic action movie. He will soon be seen in the highly anticipated Saaho movie by Sujeeth Reddy.
Sujeeth recently explained his experience working with Prabhas. He said: "I did not feel the pressure to lead a big star like Prabhas. He has faith in me and in my work and that is what matters most to me. In addition, producers and team members trusted me. But now that the movie is about to come out in a few months, I can feel the pressure. The director also revealed that Saaho's script was ready before Baahubali, and when it was told to Prabhas, he loved it.
Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor will share screen with Prabhas for the very first time. Sujeeth said about his role in the thriller action: "This is an important role for the female character. Shraddha drives the movie until the end. It was a conscious decision to strengthen my female characters. When we started working on the teaser, we had two options: go with Prabhas, considered a huge star and you expect him to be present in the opening scene. And the other was to start with Shraddha and we chose the last one. "
Saaho is shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, and is scheduled for release on August 15, 2019.
