Sakshi Tanwar and Mona Singh will share the screen space in a new web series, M.O.M. ( Mission Over Mars ) produced by Ekta Kapoor. The Czarina television will today unveil its poster for its anniversary. To be broadcast on its digital platform, the series is based on the ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) Mars Orbiter (MOM) 2014 mission and the four women who support it. Mona, who plays the role of Moshmi, a scientist says, "I had never played a scientist before. And to add to that, I play a Bengali lady in the series, for which I also had to work on my dialect. It was something new for me. I had no previous reference that could be used. This is a challenge for me and that's why I wanted to take up this challenge. Sakshi Tanwar, who plays the role of mission coordinator Nandita Hariprasad, said the series was dominant and focused on women. "This series completely reaffirms the fact that today's women can achieve the impossible and occupy any position in their workspace," she said.
In addition to Mona and Sakshi, the cast also includes Nidhi Singh and Palomi Ghosh. It is worth noting that a film, Mangal Mission is also shot on the subject by R Balki and Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapse Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen.
