Actors Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan are activating to promote their Bharat these days. On Friday, Salman tweeted a photo of them with a fun message. He decided to give a twist to the Hindi expression "seedhi saadhi lakdi" (a simple girl).
Sharing the photo, he wrote in Hindi: "Seedi, saari ladki (the stairs, the sari and the girl)." We see Katrina and Salman standing on the stairs and she is dressed in a beautiful sari.

Bharat tells the story of a 1947 Partition of India man in the modern era and, at the same time, the history of the 39, modern India. We will see Salman play a number of characters ranging from a circus performer, from a minor to a naval officer, among others. Katrina plays in the film a character called Kumud Raina, employment consultant. The film also stars Disha Patani, who will be Salman's girlfriend at the time of the circus artists.
A few days before its release on June 5 (on the occasion of Eid), the film was drawn into a controversy. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the Delhi High Court to change the title of the Salman film. The plea was filed Thursday by activist Vipin Tyagi who said the word "Bharat" could not be used for commercial purposes. He asked the Delhi High Court to ask the producer and director of the film to change the title of the film.
Tyagi stated that the title violated section 3 of the Emblems and Names Act. forbid the use of the names "Bharat" for any trade, commerce or profession. According to the Constitution, Bharat is the official name of the country, he argued. He also sought to change the dialogue when the character was compared to the country.
The role of Katrina was originally to be played by Priyanka Chopra. The latter came out after initially accepting the film while she had decided to marry the American singer Nick Jonas. Salman talked about all this through Bharat's promotions.
