Salman Khan's first Inshallah will be Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Finally, the official release date has been announced Inshallah, the director of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, will be released on Eid next year. The film, starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt, will certainly be one of Bollywood's most anticipated films in 2020. After all, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan gather for the first time in 20 years since Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, while Alia Bhatt and Salman will be together for the first time in her history.

But these are not the first two to come out of this project. It is also the very first publication of Eid by Alia Bhatt. The actress's films never really came out of the festival, much less Eid. Barring Shaandaar (2015) with Shahid Kapoor, who got a version of Dussera. Unfortunately, his only trip to the festival was a colossal flop. However, Inshallah could reverse the situation.

Similarly, for Sanjay Leela Bhansali too, his films have never really had a festival release. At best, SLB, due to a number of unfortunate controversies and indignados, had to delay the release of its latest film, Padmaavat, which featured Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. And it was finally released during the Republic Day weekend. This is the only time the filmmaker gets a holiday outing for his movie and we all saw the money Padmaavat earned during his opening weekend.

Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt are currently busy with separate projects to come. While Salman, after concluding promotions for Bharat, will resume filming Dabangg 3, Alia Bhatt is busy with her upcoming film – Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Sadak 2 with Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt.

So far, it has been reported that, unlike the latest SLB movies, which were period dramas, Inshallah will be a modern day love affair. Salman Khan would play a businessman in his forties while Alia Bhatt will play his love interest in his twenties. Salman is rather excited about the film and the event in a recent interview tells him that he thinks that Alia and he will look great together on the big screen.
