Before the release of their film The release of Majili the cast of actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya visited Tuesday the Venkateswara temple in Tirumala. Majili is the first film of Samantha and Naga Chaitanya together after their wedding in 2017 – not counting the cameo of Naga Chaitanya in Mahanati in which Samantha played a central role. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu were married in accordance with the rituals of South India and at a Christian ceremony in Goa in October 2017.

Majili is written and directed by Shiva Nirvana and the film also stars the actress Divyansha Kaushik. Majili is the story of Poorna (Naga Chaitanya) who ignores his wife Sravani (Samantha Ruth Pabhu), who is pbadionate about him. Poorna's troubled past and failures form a barrier between him and Sravani. The film will be released in cinemas on April 5th.
