In an exclusive interview, Sara Ali Khan talks to Vogue about all things fitness, fashion and food
Starting your fitness journey is never an easy task. This requires an indomitable will and the kind of inner strength that refuses to take a no for an answer. For Sara Ali Khan, this meant changing her eating habits and picking salads instead of pizzas while also getting into regular exercise – a motivational transition that was a successful success. not much time. What prompted you to start your fitness journey?
For me, it all started in New York. I weighed 96 kg and I had one year left before graduating. The transition from pizza to salad and lethargy to cardio is the way I started my fitness journey. I've just started eating healthy and getting trained in New York. There were so many different types of clbades in this city, from functional training to boxing to cycling. But because I was too overweight at first, [my routine] was more focused on cardio-heavy workouts, like walking, biking, and hitting the treadmill – in order to lose weight. weight before entering the intermediate exercises.

It's quite eclectic; it's a combination of functional training, Pilates, boxing and cardio. I like to change things, but I train for an hour and a half every day – except Sunday because it's my day to relax.
Your favorite workout program?

What do you think is the secret of your soul? [1945]
It must be Pilates – it strengthens the balance of the body and acts on your heart, which is the focus of your entire body. Pilates has allowed me to gain strength that not only helps me look good, but also strengthens physical stamina. Pilates is definitely the mainstay of my fitness.
What is your favorite athletic look at the moment?
A black crop top with black jogging pants and a pair of bright colored sneakers like my favorite Barbie sneakers – it's really my favorite Athleisure watch today. Monochrome mixed with a little color, or the opposite, I like that.
How many sneakers do you have
To be honest, I did not own so many sneakers. I had two or three, but now I also have eight new Puma Sneakers shoes that I can not wait to wear during my workouts and other social projects.
What does your gym bag include?
Speakers. Boxing gloves. If it's a tiring morning and I do not have the energy I need, then I take a multivitamin and a black coffee.
