Sruthi's Facebook message and the incidents that followed were a source of distress and embarrbadment for his family. They were subjected to "humiliation" in public. The "false and very detrimental post" caused "serious damage" to his reputation and good will, the petition says.

The actress' lawyers and experts also claimed that Sruthi's post had been downloaded abroad while he was in India, he added. He added that the e-mail IDs and social media accounts of the actor had been cloned and that illegal marking had been carried out.
