This is Kartik's best film, whose last film was shot and that Ki Sweety opened at the peak. It was his biggest blockbuster and his only 100 crores movie.
Even the second day collections for Luka Chuppi outnumber those of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. This film could well become the biggest success of his career. It may also prove to be Kriti's biggest solo hit, including the 2017 film, Bareilly Ki Barfi, which had far fewer numbers despite being liked by critics and audiences alike.
The release of the film coincided with the release of the drama Abhishek Chaubey, Sonchiriya, which fell flat at the box office.
