Prince George of Cambridge, a future king currently living as a leisurely tot in a royal palace, 5 years old on Sunday, giving British royal fans the chance to fondly remember the day when this highly sought-after heir came into the world. And to celebrate the occasion, George's parents, Prince William and Duchess Kate of Cambridge, published his official birthday portrait on Saturday. The photo was taken in the garden at Clarence House on July 9, after the baptism of his little brother, Prince Louis.

Prince Louis has attracted attention lately, with his baptism and the usual celebrations surrounding this.

But George is the star of the royal show this week, third in the throne behind his father, Prince William, and his grandfather, Prince Charles the Prince of Wales. He is not the eldest of the seven great-grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth II, but he is most likely to be a king someday in the distant future.

Moreover, he is undeniably cute and sometimes adorable, as evidenced by his public appearances.
