A violent fire erupted on the farm of popular actor Chiranjeevi in the suburbs of Hyderabad on Friday morning. The fire would have damaged the sets set for its next drama "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy", worth 2 billion rupees. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident because it was a public holiday for the cast and the film crew.
The sets of the film were emptied after being caught in the flames. Police said an electrical short was probably the cause of the incident. The accident could be considered a major setback for the film, which has already been delayed for several reasons.
The main character of Chiranjeevi in the lead role, "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy" is based on the life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy historical character. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Kiccha Sudeep and Jagapathi Babu among a slew of stars. The project is funded by Chiranjeevi's son, Ram Charan, under the banner of Konidela Productions. According to some sources, the mega-film should be released on the screens by the end of 2019.
