Yorgos Lanthimos's comedy The Favorite emerged as the favorite of the 72nd British Academy Film Awards on Sunday, winning seven of 12 nominations. The Favorite follows the tumultuous triangular relationship between Queen Anne (Olivia). Colman), his confidante and secret lover, Sarah Churchill (Rachel Weisz), and the ambitious Abigail Masham (Emma Stone).
