VARANASI: A Robertsganj hotel witnessed a dramatic drama for an hour and a half Saturday after a young man broke into the room of a Bhojpuri actress with a pistol and tried to intimidate him so that he gets married with him.
One person was shot and a senior police officer was almost shot before the accused, Pankaj Yadav (25) from Jaunpur, was arrested and arrested.
According to local sources, a film crew consisting of 70 members from Mumbai would be in the state to shoot for Dulari Bitiya, director Ritesh Thakur, with star actress Ritu Singh, from Gorakhpur and based in Bollywood. The actress and film crew members had settled in the Robertsganj hotel, in the neighboring Sonbhadra district.
