The Hollywood Film The Lion King is five days before its theatrical release. In India, the musical drama makes the headlines of its dubbed Hindi version, mainly because it features the voices of superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan. While SRK lent his voice to Mufasa, Aryan nicknamed Simba.
While the father-son duo is praised by all for its percussive voiceovers, the Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid has a different point of view. Shaan expressed dissatisfaction with SRK dubbing and wrote on Twitter: "Do not destroy such a beautiful film with dubbing in Hindi … In this promotion, Shah Rukh's voice is the same as that of any other movie. At least he should have changed his voice and expression for The Lion King. "
However, it turned out that the promo Shaan had reacted did not include the voice of SRK but that of his son Aryan. This triggered an avalanche of wild comments on the microblogging site. One of the users wrote to the actor: "Shaan, you are trying to be overwhelmed. Nobody forces you to watch the Hindi version of the film. You look at it in English only.
When he was informed that the voice-over he had reacted to was that of Aryan, Shaan said, "It's even worse that it sounds like his father is not doing anything." # 39; had no individual identity … it looks like dad did his homework.
In another comment, the actor targeted SRK on nepotism. He wrote: "Without offending my brethren, it is a good Western gesture to make money, I encourage young talents, but sometimes encouraging wrongs to do the right thing is a disaster. Nepotism sometimes does not bear fruit. Even will smith could not do it. I hope I did not offend you "
The Lion King directed by Jon Favreau, is a reboot of the beloved Disney clbadic animation of the same name. The film will be released on screens on July 19th.
