However, seems like the actor also has its own share of controversies. Shaheer recently got himself embroiled in a controversial manner he was accused for claiming of writing a poetry for his show Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. The original writer of this article, and the actor released a statement apologizing for the same.
Shaheer took to his Twitter to apologize. He tweeted as, 'It was not an interview with the PR team. I would still want to apologize because I should have realized that it can hurt someone. they keep reading my shayries on twitter and insta and that's why they asked. Did not mean to take credit. Sorry it's all you. ' It was started when the writer accused Shaheer by releasing his statement and captioned the tweet, 'In an interview to a web portal mr Shaheer sheikh claimed that he wrote the poetry for Abir's character in YRHPK, here's my reply '
Well, we are hope the issue gets resolved soon. Shaheer is known to have a liking for poetry and shayaris which also impresses his fans occasionally.
