As more and more stars play in Bollywood, the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, will be next. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Shanaya will participate in the film – the biopic of Gunjan Saxena with her cousin Janhvi Kapoor. She will learn the basics of cinema before her big acting debut in 2020.
A source said in the report: "The team will be shooting in Lucknow for the next two weeks before moving elsewhere. While Shanaya decided to become an actress, her parents wanted her to experience life behind the scenes first. She worked regularly in Karan Johar Andheri's office to work on the project.
The film is directed by debutante Sharan Sharma, who badisted Karan Johar in the 2016 movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Janhvi will play Gunjan, one of the first female Indian pilot helicopters and the first woman to be awarded the Shaurya Chakra, who evacuated wounded soldiers during the Kargil War in 1999.
