Shazam, Wonder Woman 1984 and The Batman: all upcoming DCEU movies

The universe of DC film, unofficially called the extended universe of DC, is changing. After the box office trap and the critical performances of the biggest film of DC, Justice League, that of James Wan, Aquaman, seems to have compensated a little the damage.

There are many projects in the CUSD that are evolving rapidly. towards the front. For some of them, the production is already finished. Here are all confirmed movies coming in the extended universe of DC.

Shazam !

Asher Angel and Zachary Levi play the role of the young and adult version of the same superhero in this film. The trailer of this movie has made a lot of ink in San Diego Comic-Con and for good reason. For the first time, it seems, the DCEU embraces the lighter side of the myth of the superhero. The "adult" super-adult is still a child, so he is impressed by his transformation, which creates many opportunities for comedy. Release of Shazam on April 5, 2019.

Note: Although this is not in the CUS, Todd Phillips' Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role, will also be released this year (October 4).

Birds of Prey (and the fantastic emancipation of a certain Harley Quinn)

This strange title film can only mean one thing: the highest placed have realized that Margot's opinion Robbie on Harley Quinn was almost universally appreciated (even though the movie itself had been uprooted) and Quinn seems to be taking center stage in a Birds of Prey movie. The casting is excellent. Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ella Jay Basco, Chris Messina and Ewan McGregor also played alongside Robbie. Birds of Prey will be available February 7, 2020.

Wonder Woman 1984

This successor to the hit song Wonder Woman of 2017 was due out in 2019, but had been delayed for some unknown reason. Gal Gadot is back as Princess Diana, but inexplicably, Steve Trevor of Chris Pine. Kristen Wiig embodies the archnemesis of Wonder Woman, Cheetah. Patty Jenkins, director of the movie Wonder Woman 1984, is released on June 5, 2020.

The Batman

Ben Affleck has come out to play the Crusader-Caped, to the dismay of some and to the delight of others. Meanwhile, the young Bruce Wayne hunt is open. Matt Reeves, the director of the recent trilogy The Planet of the Apes, writes and directs The Batman, which is released June 25, 2021.

A film by Suicide Squad

James Gunn, who was fired from The Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, makes a film about Suicide Squad. He is not sure he recognizes David Ayer's film in 2016 or avoids it totally with a different cast. However, Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn is still present in the DCEU. We know that thanks to Birds of Prey (above). Will all these films be in one universe? Which give? Its release is scheduled for August 6, 2021.

The Flash or Flashpoint

The directors of Game Night, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, are attached to the project. It would be a film about Flash (version of Ezra Miller), but we do not know if it would be a standalone film or if we adapt the scenario of Geoff Johns Flash point according to rumors. Its release is currently scheduled for 2021.
