Shiv Sena workers created a ruckus in the premises of a movie theater in Mumbai because it did not include the movie poster "Thackeray". Shiv Sena workers staged a demonstration in front of a theater in Vashi on Thursday, against the theater management for not having installed movie posters inside the theater.

In a video of the incident, one can see the group of protesters staging sit-in protest and shouting slogans. During the demonstration, the workers also quarreled with the theater staff.

The film, based on the life of Shiv Sena's founder, Bal Thackeray, was screened Friday on big screens to commemorate the anniversary of his birth. Shortly after the release of the film trailer in December, the release date of the film has sparked much controversy. Many claimed that the film was deliberately broadcast before the elections as part of a political agenda.

However, in the context of an exclusive interaction with ANI, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays the role of Bal Thackeray in the film, and Amrita Rao, who married his wife, Mina Thackeray, refuted these claims and baderted that the only reason for the release of the film in January was that Jan. 23 was the birth date of Bal Thackeray.
