Shoojit Sircar denies information that he allegedly directed George Fernandes' biopic

Director Shoojit Sircar says that a biographical film about the late Union leader and politician George Fernandes is a very interesting project, but he will not have time to direct it

The senior Shiv Sena leader and deputy Sanjay Raut had expressed his intention to make a biographical film about Fernandes who died here on Tuesday.

After the announcement on Tuesday, Raut, who also served as screenwriter for the film. When IANS contacted Sircar, the filmmaker, known for films like Piku Vicky Donor and Madras Cafe said: "A biopic on Shri George Fernandes is a very interesting project and I congratulate Mr. Sanjay Raut for having taken it back. "
"Although I am always available for any advice or help that I can offer on the film, I am currently very busy with the preparation of my next projects, so I will not have time to direct it. I wish all the best to him and his team, "he added.

Among his upcoming projects, Sircar has published a biopic based on the Indian revolutionary Udham Singh, a freedom fighter.
