The SLO comedy festival kicks off this weekend

This is the ninth year of the festival and comedians will perform throughout the weekend.

The organizers say the show will continue, although one of the known poster heads, Brody Stevens, died Friday of an apparent suicide. Stevens appeared in The Hangover, Due Date and the Chelsea Lately show.

The other comedians say that he was filled with positive energy and that he would have liked the show to continue.

According to them, the festival is a great opportunity to go out. from home and enjoy human interactions without the distraction of televisions and cell phones.

"The happiest place in the world is becoming happier and comedians are feeding on this energy. That's right, all the comedians who leave here say that I want to do shows like the San Luis Obispo crowd. In the humorous circuit, the crowds in San Luis are definitely the number one in the country, "said Eric Schantz, director of the Comedy Festival.
