India A woman took a 1-0 lead in the three-game T20 series by beating Australia A woman with four wickets on the Bandra-Kurla field in Mumbai on Monday.
Indian vice-captain Smriti Mandhana scored 72 40 balls while the Indians pursued the goal of 161 points in 19 badists.
After defeating the baton, Australian player Tahlia McGrath kept pace by scoring a 31-balls in 23 balls to lay the foundations for the visitors. Naomi Stalenberg (39) and captain Heather Graham (43) took Australia to 160/6 with 20 withdrawals.
