She began her article by saying that since cancer is such a dreaded word, it was important to set a day to treat it in order to help people cope with this disease. She mentioned how scared she was too, but soon realized that resigning herself to her fate would be of no help. She adds that, no matter how small, she would like everyone to know that becoming emotional and weak will not help.
