"After spending the whole night overcoming it, I got up and decided not to cry anymore and cry. From now on, there will be happiness. I saw the sun rise, I clicked on a picture and shared it with my family and my daughters and I said, "Girls, turn on the sun," said Sonali.

"Goldie and I have been married for 16 years. And when I got to know cancer, I realized that Goldie was the most important person in my eyes, "she added.

To this, Sussanne added, "Our children are so mature and understanding that they were there with Ranveer (Sonali's son) all the time. "

She said," We decided, let's make the most of it. We spent time in New York. We were there with children. They were great. The girls (Sussanne and Gayatri) went, left the children in school and came back. Then it was just us and we really enjoyed the city.

The actress also revealed the story behind her hashtags on Instagram – #OneDayataTime and #SwitchontheSunshine.

Sonali spoke about the film industry and said:" I love the stories that are told now. With the upcoming multiplexes, there is so much diversity. I felt that I had done what I had done at that time.

"I was growing differently. Now you have stories that are told in different ways. The stories that were told at the time and the image that I had, I had exceeded them.

"The filmmakers and the audience probably did not understand, but I was done with it. I had evolved in my life and I loved this phase of my life. Maybe the time has come to explore something new because so much has happened in life. "
