EXCLUSIVE: Sonam talks about her husband Anand Ahuja – look
Last year, Sonam Kapoor married Anand Ahuja. The photos and videos of her marriage became viral on the Internet because they show who is who of the sector. Since then, Sonam lives between Mumbai, London and Delhi. Recently, she posted an article on Instagram where the couple had to sleep on the floor in their new home in London because of the late arrival of their beds. With an unprecedented career (she was the most profitable actress of 2018), Sonam continues to juggle work and personal life.
Lately, Sonam was busy promoting his new film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. A few days before the release of the film, ZoomTV.com had a frank conversation about the film, his career, his married life and all the rest of the film. During the conversation where she was interviewed about life between the three cities and often moving away from her husband Anand Ahuja due to work commitments, Sonam said that her heart was more affectionate and that her he missed her husband a lot.
Speaking of relationship management with Anand, especially when she stays away from him, Sonam exclusively told ZoomTV.com,
I think distance makes the heart more endearing. I miss him a lot and I think it's important that we both work. It's important for our relationship, as partners. I hope that someday we will find work in the same country (laughs).
When we are told that we hope that a country is India, we would like to see it on the screen. She said,
Ya, I will never stop acting. But, let's see …
When Sonam asked her if she was discussing scripts with Anand and commenting on the films she chose,
. I tell him when I do something. Yes, I take his advice on … dates! Because of course I have to spend time with my husband. So we coordinate the dates. Recently, I said no to something because I wanted to spend time with him and he said no to something because he wanted to spend time with me. So, I think that there comes a time when you have to understand that it is not you alone. So, I do not argue, "Oh, I'm going to do this scene" or "I'm going to do this script", nor any of those things, but since we're in a remote relationship, I think it's important to take time for one and the other. So he makes a lot of compromises in terms of gender … he has to keep working because my job depends on other people. His job, since he's the boss, I'm not, because it's collaboration..a movie, so I do not have as much flexibility as him for dates. So he steals a lot because of me. He must continue to fly to see me all the time. So, from time to time, I have to take a stand and say, "It's good to sacrifice this project so that I can be with him, so he can focus on his work" because he has made a lot of sacrifices for me. , much more than he should.
Sonam then recounted a funny incident that occurred just after his marriage to Anand and his departure due to previous work obligations.
In fact, he made a very nice comment that even seemed very funny to me, because just after the wedding, I had to promote Veere Di Wedding and go to Canne. I got married and went to Canne and promoted Veere Di Wedding. And he just asked me a very simple question like in July, two months after the wedding. He said, "If I had done the same thing, if I had gone to work just after the wedding, what would you have done?" I said, "I would have killed you." It's like: "It's badist!" I was like: "It's really funny." I was like, "How long did you take to think about it?" He says, "Two months." (laughs)
