One of the most loved movies of the year, by the movie critics, is Sonchiriya directed by Abhishek Chaubey. The Chambal based drama starring an ensemble of actors including Sushant Rajput Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana. Rs 1.20 crore, on its day 2 Rs 1.50 crore.
And on its day 3, which was a Sunday, Sonchiriya 's fate at the box office was sealed as it failed to grow from the poor numbers and made Rs 1.90 crore. Overall, Sonchiriya made Rs 4.60 crore over the first weekend.
