This weekend, we will witness a clash between two highly anticipated films – Sonchirya and Luka Chuppi. While Sonchiriya is a multi-starring drama based in Chambal Gully featuring Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana, Ranvir Shorey and Bhumi Pednekar, while Luka Chuppi is a romantic comedy evoking the concept of living relationship Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon.
Both films look pretty promising and should be able to satisfy their own target audience. Akshaye Rathi, a filmmaker, however, predicts that Luka Chuppi, directed by first-comer Laxman Utekar, will have an edge over Sonchiriya led by Abhishek Chaubey. While the first is expected to open at around Rs 5 million, the second is expected to reach about Rs 2.5 million.
Rathi told HT that the clash had occurred: "Both films look promising and will deal with a very different type of movie. public, so they should not have much impact. It will be a battle of content and the question of which movie will appeal more to the public.

Will the film reach the crores club of Rs 100? Rathi, skeptical, says, "It's not hard to tell if one of the movies turns out exceptionally awesome, but that seems unlikely."

Sonchiriya has sparked public interest with her catchy dialogues and her stellar cast. Rathi says that if the content of the film appeals to the public, it will change the deal.
