The directors of Sonchiriya shared the film's second trailer, mainly an introduction to rebel and dacoite characters. The one minute video shows a robbery in action while the gang of dacoits burst into a wedding but only went away after giving the bride 101 rupees as a wedding gift. The trailer also gives a clue as to how they differentiate their victims according to their caste. The many exchanges of fire and the interesting dialogues promise to entertain the spectators and to place them at the edge of their seat.
With the film Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranvir Shorey, Manoj Bajpayee and Ashutosh Rana, the film is a rustic dacoit drama. The film takes place in the Chambal infested with dacoit in Madhya Pradesh in the context of the Emergency in 1975-1977. The first trailer of the film was well received by the public and was dominated by the dacoits and their shootings.
The film's directors promote the film in a unique way by sharing placards with the meaning of the specific Hindi words used in the film. They also shared dialogue promises featuring the key players.

Manufacturers had previously shared a movie poster featuring Sushant and Manoj Bajpayee sitting in the sand with their gang members around them. The film was directed by Abhishek Chaubey's celebrity Udta Punjab and boasts of a cast of stars including Ranvir Shorey, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ashutosh Rana, Manjot Singh, Suhail Nayyar and many others.
