The director recently announced that the main heroine of the film would be Katrina Kaif.
While talking to PTI, the director of Golmaal revealed why Katrina Kaif was a wise choice for her film. Rohit Shetty said, "Katrina has a very good role in the film, we are both trying to work together on a movie, but that seemed like a very appropriate movie."
With films like Singham, Simmba and now Sooryavanshi, Rohit revealed that he wanted to expand his universe of desi cop. About the same thing, he said: "After creating the Singham franchise, we considered expanding the universe of the police and that's what happened to Simmba.For the first time, we merged two worlds – Simmba and Singham and added a new element to Sooryavanshi.It was a big risk, but it worked. "
