Game of Thrones has polarized fans with its end. Many expressed disappointment about Jon going north and Bran taking the throne, among other things.
It was a roller coaster ride for everyone. However, many fans also expressed their satisfaction with the way it ended for Arya and Sansa. Arya continued to explore the west of Westeros and Sansa became the queen of the north after demanding that the north remain an independent kingdom as it has been for thousands of years.
AND has recently taken speech in an exclusive conversation with Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) at the Dark Phoenix Press for her upcoming X-Men movie. Sophie revealed that the true intentions of Sansa never consisted in wanting the iron throne:
" Since her arrival at King's Landing in Season 1, she never wanted this iron throne . She never wanted to dominate so many people … I think that looking at how this character ended on Game of Thrones was the most satisfying end . "
]" I like the way that Sansa's journey ended . I think that was the kind of thing she wanted all through the show … to be at home and to be where she felt most safe and comfortable, that's Winterfell. She is quite capable of directing these people .
Dark Phoenix's co-star Jessica Chastain also approved:
"" I agree with that, Queen of the North, it's better … There's more Iron throne, first of all … But yes, absolutely, I told him.I said it was my favorite, she and Arya, are my favorite arcs of the series . "
