Soundarya's career in film begins in 1999 as a graphic design for the great success Padayappa. Sivaji, Anbe Aaruyire, Sandakozhi, Chandramukhi and Chennai-28. She became a producer in 2010 with the film Goa . She then made her directorial debut with her brother-in-law, Dhanush, in her production VIP 2 .
