Joining the movement of films based on nationalist themes, John Abraham came out with his latest release, Raw-Romeo Akbar Walter, where the actor is seen performing the character of a spy. The film received positive reviews from the public and critics and also made a decent start at the box office.

According to information published in BoxofficeIndia.com, the action thriller collected 7 Rs crore on Saturday from its first Saturday, bringing the film's total to 12.25 crore.

The film puts the cash registers in operation at the box office on the first day by collecting 5.25 crore of Rs, which shows a growth of 30% on the second day.

The film, written and directed by Robbie Grewal, would be based on real events. He follows the journey of an Indian secret agent, played by John, during the war between India and Pakistan in 1971 that led to the birth of Bangladesh. It was the most decisive battle of the sub-continent, in which the Pakistani army had surrendered to the Indian army. This is a time when intelligence services played a crucial role in India's calculated and clinical victory over Pakistan.

In addition to John Abraham, the film also stars actors such as Jackie Shroff, Mouni Roy, Raghubir Yadav, Sikander Kher and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi in key roles.

The film is produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Dheeraj Wadhawan, Ajay Kapoor, Vanessa Walia and Gary Grewal.
