The film was leaked on the Torrent website, TamilRockers a day after its release, as reported by Indian Express. It was headed by Punit Malhotra, who previously headed Kareena Kapoor-starrer Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and Imran Khan-Sonam Kapoor Starrer, I Hate Luv Storys.
SOTY marks the Bollywood debut of Chunky's daughter Panday, Ananya and Disney VJ Tara. He has had a solo release at the national box office, but he still faces competition from Hollywood films, Avengers: Endgame and Detective Pikachu. The Marvel movie opened to movie theaters wrapped in India and collected 400 Rs crore.

The film is still the fifth most important Bollywood opening film after Kalank, Kesari, Gully Boy and Total Dhamaal, who recorded an opening of Rs 21.60 cr, Rs 21.06 cr, Rs 19.40 cr and Rs 16 cr, respectively. also Tiger's second biggest opening match after Baaghi 2 which opened at Rs 25 crore.
