Suman Rao of Rajasthan wins Miss India 2019

Suman Rao, from Rajasthan, won the beauty contest Femina Miss India World 2019 at a ceremony held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel indoor stadium. Shivani Jadhav of Chhattisgarh won the 2019 Femina Miss Grand India title and Shreya Shanker of Bihar won the Miss India United Continents 2019 title at the grand finale of the beauty pageant on Saturday.

Suman, a student at the university, will represent India at Miss World 2019 in Thailand. "When you are determined to achieve a particular goal in life, every nerve and fiber in your body starts working in that direction for a victorious journey," she said in an interview. D'Souza alongside actress Huma Qureshi, Chitrangada Singh, fashion designer Falguni Shane Peabada and Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri.

During the event, movie stars such as Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal and Mouni Roy enthused the audience.

The event was organized by Bollywood filmmaker, Karan Johar, and actor, Manish Paul.
