Mr. Kumar stated that he had been told that the operation would be risky and that even a slight miscalculation could result in facial disfigurement and a complete loss of hearing. He is currently being treated at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai.

"At the moment, I am in good health, but it could worsen with time," he told the ANI news agency.

"I do not wish to see the dream of a talented child collapse due to financial constraints.I want to take away this suffering from my nation.I will work there until my last breath, "he added.

Mr. Kumar, optimistic about his life, said that he lived in the present and that he wanted to lead a long and happy life.
