Super 30 movie review: Hrithik Roshan is sincere as Anand Kumar, the story of Vikas Bahl is not quite

The movie Super 30 tells the story of the film. inspiring story of the mathematical genius Anand Kumar, who tries to change the lives of deserving but needy students, 30 at a time. Despite the catchy story and the beautiful performances, the film is bogged down by the length of the film and unnecessary doses of drama.

Super 30 presents Anand Kumar (Hrithik Roshan) with a flashback. Although his talent allows him to sit at the prestigious University of Cambridge, he can not attend for lack of money. While he goes door to door looking for sponsorship, his father dies and he is forced to sell papades made by his mother.

In a particularly heartbreaking scene, his letter of acceptance is used as an envelope for his goods and is casually thrown away.

Anand's situation is reversed after his discovery by Lallan Singh (Aditya Srivastava), who runs a coaching center for aspirants at the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) and wishes him as a teacher.

However, when Anand realizes that there are many Anand Kumars who are forced to give up their dreams because of poverty, he decides to give up the good life and to open a free coaching center for such deserving but poor students.

Although Hrithik Roshan strives to appear compelling as Anand Kumar, brown makeup (whose shades fluctuate throughout the film) simply does not cut it. Curiously, although much work has been done to give the actor a darker complexion, nothing is done for his naturally nutty eyes. Contact lenses, whoever?

The Bihari accent of Hrithik leaves a lot to be desired. However, if you can look further, it delivers a serious performance.

Pankaj Tripathi as Minister of Education who runs a successful coaching business is fantastic. Mrunal Thakur has little to do, but is doing well in scenes with Hrithik. Aditya Srivastava, too, offers a solid performance.

At 2 hours and 42 minutes, Super 30 is a bit too long. The love story of Hrithik with Mrunal, which has no meaning for the film and seems to have been made for the sake of it, might have been easily removed.

Some parts of Super 30 seem very far-fetched. A student, who fails compared to Anand's Super 30, is brought in at the last minute to not only miraculously give a musical performance in a matter of hours, but also break the IIT-JEE despite the fact that it's a good thing. he missed months of training. [19659008] The director Vikas Bahl unnecessarily amplifies the drama and there is even a sequence in which the students of the Super 30 repel a group of professional badbadins who are trying to attack Anand in a hospital.

It's a challenge to make movies about people whose lives have unfolded before us, in our lifetime. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biopic is proof that taking creative licenses to build a compelling narrative can undermine credibility.

While the Anand Kumar reel has no plan for what will happen to its educational program when it depletes its savings, the real Anand Kumar runs a parallel coaching center, whose fees finance courses for the poor .

Under the direction of math wizard Anand Kumar, his Super 30 proved to be a miracle. Under the leadership of Vikas Bahl, the Hrithik Roshan Super 30 is far from being one.
