Sylvester Stallone reveals how Dolph Lundgren stopped his heart on Rocky IV

Sylvester Stallone has built several franchises over the years, but few of them occupy a more important place in the mind than Rocky. Stallone brought the Rocky Balboa character to his debut in the original Rocky and Rocky II to success in Rocky III and on Earth again in Rocky IV and V. He also explored the old ages of the character in Rocky Balboa and now the Creed films, but among all this period, Rocky, one of the most memorable releases is Rocky IV . easy to understand once you know that the heart of the actor was literally stopped by his opponent Dolph Lundgren

Lundgren played the role of a Russian fighter named Ivan Drago in the film, and Stallone Always wanted as many punches as possible to keep things. looking realistic on the film. As Stallone revealed during a conversation in Cannes, this method allowed him to be sent to the hospital (via THR).

Stallone spoke about an incident on the set of Rocky IV in which Lundgren had hit him The heart of Hard Balboa almost stopped beating, and he had to be transported to the intensive care unit of the hospital. It's funny now because he's survived and Lundgren obviously sees this as a sign of honor. This perfectly matched Stallone's first impression of Lundgren when he had auditioned for the role. He said, "Dolph Lundgren came in and I hated him immediately, oh yes, he's perfect."

Although the method almost turned against him, fortunately he was fine. worked very well on the screen. The Rocky series is known for its thrilling boxing and this film has definitely maintained the rich tradition of the franchise.

Since then, Rocky has helped to train the son of Apollo Creed in the films Creed but in Cannes. he also mentioned another idea that he had for a new Rocky.

"[Rocky] finds this guy illegally in the country and it becomes a thing," said Stallone. "It could be different, you throw it [Rocky]
